Introduction, Rules & Expectations
Welcome to Rune Divination! Today's Lesson will be going over the "House Rules" and other manner of things that need to be clarified to have an amicable, professional atmosphere present within the room at all times. The rules are few and simple; keeping them in mind will get the student through the Lessons that follow after this. First impressions definitely last, so try to make a good one and start the class off on the right foot!
If there are any questions relating to the course, it won't hurt to ask them, the Professor will be more than happy to answer any and all queries! Any question asked is better than no questions asked at all; after all, the purpose of learning is to ask questions whenever the opportunity arises.
In order to get the Lesson started, the discussion will open with a brief overview of what Rune Divination is; along with the concept of how and why it's done. Understanding all 24 Runes is a core part of understanding the course as a whole; and learning to have an open-mind when conducting "Rune-casting" will be stressed on. Here's a few things below to get started:

Rune Divination: What's it all About?
Basically, Rune Divination is the art of using Runes in order to be able to tell what the possibilities were when a question was posed. It's not directly linked to "fortune-telling", yet the methods are almost the same. The Runes themselves are kept in a pouch; while a white cloth is used as the "divining" surface. This surface itself also has meanings; each area has meanings connected to hat Rune falls on them.
If any Runes fall outside of the cloth, they are not included in the reading as a whole; if they fall on Merkstave, they are to be interpreted differently. Each and every reading does not necessarily produce the same answers every time; hence why Rune Divination is unique all its own. There are several "spreads", or methods, used in reading fortunes that will appear in Runic Divination, so don't be surprised to see some of the readings that you've studied in Divinations class here!
